DECEMBER 10, 2004

: So we drove up to Oakland on Wednesday, unsure if the show was still on because apparently a neon light blew up in the guitarist's from the other bands face. We got up to the Stork Club near downtown Oakland and were impressed with the coolness of the bar. It turns out that not a soul was going to show up to the bar so we drank our free Pabst in a can, booked a power pop Kiss or Kill night for January before our next tour and headed home to play GTA. Not a complete loss. Then last night we played at the Dwelling in SLO with Underwater City People. Not much more to say about that show. Free 24 oz High Life, an emo band called All Ages and 25 chains-moking 17 year old wannabe hardcore punks with colored hair, way too tight and short pants, chains, ugly girlfriends and bad breath waiting outside of the club for 3 hours while the real bands played waiting for New Mexican Donkey to play. We left before they came inside. All in all a successful tour. Found venues for future rock, sold nothing, got paid in beer, played video games at Matt's parent's house, ate a lot and slept a lot. This is the life.

DECEMBER 8, 2004

: San Francisco was great. We had a nice crowd, which was actually ours, and which actually clapped after our songs, and Thee Parkside is a great dive bar. We are going to be returning there hopefully before our next tour. Special thanks to the Dollyrots for telling their friends to come out. We also just got news that Kiss or Kill has found a new home at the Echo in Echo Park. Finally, no more overpriced beer drinking raw fish eating assholes to deal with. And KOK will have a decent sound system. We'll be playing there on the 18th of January. Also, we have booked a show at the Viper Room with Indie 103.1 for Monday January, 3rd. Tonight we will rock Oakland and stay in our cars so that the Raider nation doesn't jump us.

DECEMBER 4, 2004

What a great week of rock shows it has been. We have played with and seen some awesome bands, including the triumphant return of Bobot! We played our last LA show of 2004 at Mr T's with the King Cheetah who blew everyone away. And next week will be even greater as we take on northern California for shows in San Francisco, Sacramento, Oakland, and San Luis Obispo. We play with Underwater City People in SLO. Then we will be taking a few weeks off and back in January and then off to the right coast again. We have booked Salt Lake City for the end of January. So we'll see all of you in a week somewhere hopefully. At least you can find us here next week. In type form.

NOVEMBER 26, 2004

Thanks to everyone who came out to the Troubadour early on Wednesday and watched us rock out at the historic venue. It was an amazingly good time, the free beer and nasty cough syrup tasting Sparks were fun, and the crowd was incredible. We even got to hang out in our own dressing rooms and do bad things. Oh, and all the bands rocked. Thanks again to the Josh and the Rainman Suite for hooking up the show and asking us to play. This Saturday make sure you come out to the Lava Lounge to see us play with our new friends from Brooklyn, the Atomic Missiles. Then on Tuesday we will be at Kiss or Kill playing with the King Cheetah, who's EP, by the way, is only three songs long and a medley of their upcoming record, but it kicks your ass for fifteen minutes straight. Also playing is the glorious return of Bobot Adrenaline!!!! (finally) They play first so be there early. Then Brothers from Another and last, once again are the Atomic Missiles. Tons of fun. So come out stay late get drunk buy shit kick shit and let all that left over turkey digest.

NOVEMBER 22, 2004

Don't miss the O.A.O.T's at the Troubadour this Wednesday at 8:30 PM or you can catch the Bachelor on ABC [Ed.]

NOVEMBER 16, 2004

Just a reminder that we have 2, not 3 shows this week. Tonight we play late night Kiss or Kill with the King Cheetah, BANG sugar BANG and Chromosome Tea. We are last so we'll play around midnight. That's when the drunks hang out! Then we play our first International Pop Overthrow at the Scene on Thursday at some time of the evening with some other bands. Unfortunately our second show of the month at Old Towne Pub was canceled due to an error in the booking. The error was we weren't playing. Booooooooooooooooooooooooobs. I'd rather look at boooooooooooooooooobs than at the ugly O.A.O.T's.

NOVEMBER 8, 2004

Great news, we finally found the perfect drummer. Drummer number five! AKA drummer number two! AKA Super Dave the Human Drum Machine. We are finally the best band in the world again. We can sign, wipe our brows and get ready to rock. Thanks to everyone who came out to Old Towne Pub on Saturday to see the heartfelt reunion of the O.A.O.T's. It was a great welcome back show, even though no one really welcomed us back since we'd been back for a week already. Thanks to all the bands that played: No Way Jose II, Chromosome Tea (our November partners in ROCK) and a new addition to the LA rock and roll scene, the Atomic Missiles. The show was a lot of fun and all the bands rocked out, which is what rock bands should do, no? Anyways, lots of shows, lots of fun, check back soon for more crap.

NOVEMBER 6, 2004

Hope you were one of the lucky few that watched the intro to Jack and Bobby on Wednesday. TV history was made. Now we are back for a rockin November since the tour is done and we are working like asses to make some money just so we can do it again. We also have a lot of shows for you!!! You know what to do. Go to Old Towne Pub this Saturday and watch us rock with the second coming of beans rice and rock and roll, No Way Jose, then some tasty Chromosome Tea and atomic rock from the Atomic Missiles. Then us, right after Matt finishes selling women's shoes to rich fatties. MMM, rich fatties. Oh yea and fuck all of our other shows, but make sure to come out to our debut Kiss or Kill show at the Troubadour on the 24th! WEDNESDAY! $6! YOU BETTER GO! ALL AGES!!! BRING YOUR INFANTS!!! DOLLYROTS!!! RAINMAN SUITE!!! ALCOHOL!!!!!!! SILVER NEEDLE!!!!!!!!!! CHROMSOME TEA!!!!!!!!!!!! Inject some of that that in to your eyeballs sweetie.

NOVEMBER 2, 2004

We have returned from our tour across the country without getting arrested or killed and are ready to rock. Pictures and a live video of Hot Robot will be up by next week.

We have some great news. First of all “On and On” is going to be featured tomorrow night on the TV show “Jack and Bobby”. You can watch it at 9:00 PM Pacific on the WB. Listen for the entire track in the scene where Bobby and his mother have a talk.

We also have a bunch of great shows scheduled for this month including International Pop Overthrow and the Troubadour. Our first show back is this Saturday at Old Towne Pub in Pasadena with Chromosome Tea, special guest, and others.

OCTOBER 31, 2004

: Topeka was a great show. We played with Also Known As who were really cool and played a Cheap Trick cover. We also played with another mop top emo screamo band. The bar was cool becasue they let kids in and some of them even enjoyed our show. Not enough to buy anything though. Regardless, we made friends are sure we will be back in Topeka by the time the snow comes. Then we marathon drove our asses to Vegas, through some big ass states hopped up on Monster and some cool rock tunes. We got to Vegas at 3AM, dead tired and with nowhere to sleep. We ate breakfast (which we would do another 3 times within 36 hours) and played some black jack. Matt and Ryan figured that since they hadn't slept in 30 hours, they should just get hammered. Which they did with 6 shots of Jager and 6 Newcastles. Great thinking guys. Meanwhile Eddie found plenty of places to lose his money. So Vegas was pretty much mean old drunken Vegas until the bands started showing up on Friday at the Double Down. The show was great with awesome performances by Underwater City People, all the way from Underwater City, and the Rainman Suite, all the way from that casino hotel that the Rainman won all that money becasue his brother was Tom Cruise. We also got a great article in Las Vegas City Life about how cool we are because we are on tour. (its on the message board) Anyways, tour was fun. Thanks to everyone who helped us out: The Deans, Casper WY, Flurry, Baseshot Scenario, Brian and Nancy, the Garappolos, AKA, and everyone who came out to the shows and bought our crap. We will have to do it again sometime soon. Very soon. In fact we have booked Eugene Oregon for December 2 already so here comes the west coast, less driving, less fat people, and all the mayhem.

OCTOBER 25, 2004

: After New York we had quite a drive to Dayton OH, home of our favorites, GBV and the ultra rock goddess Kim Deal. Before our arrival we had a stop at White Castle, and Matt and Eddie had a taste of explosive guts. Too many flavor holes we guess. Anyways, we were psyched to get to Dayton until we actually got there and it was nothing but crackheads everywhere. Everything was closed, cuz it was Sunday, and it looked like a ghost town. We ate some great Chinese food at Chin's thanks to Art and got ready to rock Elbo's. It turned out to be a great show. We played with some awseome bands, Million Dollar Marxists from Ottawa, Canadia and Dayton locals Legbone. They were all great guys and will be back in Dayton and at Elbo's soon. Right now we are in Ozarks, Missouri, trying not to get raped by banjo players. Here comes Topeka and drinking Old Style. The best beer ever which we will get to sponsor our next tour. Promise.

OCTOBER 23, 2004

: New Hope was awesome. We had an incredible meal prepared by punk rock goddess Nancy McGraw, had some Black and Tans, listened to GBV and had a full on entourage follow us to John and Peter's where we rocked the low ceilings off the coolest bar in New Hope, PA. Thanks to everyone who came out and stayed through both our sets. The normal drunken set and then the mayhem drum tackle mic stand kicking screaming pitcher pounding set. It was a hell of a lot of fun and everyone at John and Peter's was great. We even saw some dude get pummeled in the face and there was blood everywhere and the waitress was like Ahh!!! And Eddie was like Woa!!! And the dude was like My face is bleeding!!! And Kyrsten was like Eeeew!!! Tonight we will be in New York at Arlene's Grocery so if you know anyone in the area, tell them For a good time go to Arlene's at 8 pm sharp!!! Really we will probably get kicked off stage at 8:45 regardless of how much we've played so tell your friends to get there early!

OCTOBER 22, 2004

: After Chicago we had a night off and spent it trying to find a show in Ohio. Columbus fell through. The wrong guy booked Akron, so we tried our luck at the historic, Kent Ohio. We got to the bar tuesday, booked the show at Zephyr Pub and spent Wed promoting at Kent State and bowling at the lanes. All in all a lot of fun. Then we had 1$ pizza and beers at some bar, watched baseball, and then went to rock the Zephyr Pub. The PA was broken, we were the only band, and we didnt play till 11:30. Everyone hated us because Eddie was drunk and abusive. He threw up for the second time on tour. Go Flurry! Then on Thursday we played the awsome Fire in Philly and stayed with Brian And Nancy in New Hope, where we will play tonight. And just a note: BRIAN AND NANCY ARE THE COOLEST AUNT AND UNCLE IN THE HISTROY OF THE WORLD!!! (George Washington wrote some letters in their house!) Honestly, if it wasn't for Brian, Matt would have never heard of Hüsker Dü or the Jam and then the O.A.O.T's would just be Eddie playing Phish covers.

OCTOBER 18, 2004

: Milwaukee sucked. We forgot to eat and no one bought anything. And there was no beer. We thought beer came from Milwaukee. Guess not. Boo. We are back in Chicago. Chicago is cool. We saw Wrigley Field today and were all very happy. The day was all downhill from there. And a special message from Ryan: there was a sign today on the way to and back from Millyouwalk-kay for an exit called, and this is not a lie, "Bong Recreation Area." Classic. May we recreate at this time. God bless America. Thank you Baseshot Scenario for the two nights in a row. Go Cubs!

OCTOBER 17, 2004

: We actually got to play Mike's Place in Council Bluffs, IA twice in two nights. The second night was a night off since we couldn't get anything else in Omaha or the rest of Iowa and the guys at Mike's were cool enough and liked us enough to let us play a benefit for Hospice on Saturday the 16th. Both nights the shows were great with $6 pitchers, pool, foozeball and a lot of great new friends. We even sold some merch! Both nights we partied hard with the awesome new Omaha ambassadors to Kiss or Kill, the Flurry. They rocked with us on Friday night at Mike's and then Saturday we bought a lot of cheap beer just for getting hammered, Eddie won the Rockin Omaha Drinking Crown from one of the guys in the Flurry. Most likely Matt, but maybe Jeremy. And how about those Sox, Mikey? [This entry was written before Cookie Monster/Papi's walk off HR in the 12th - Ed.] He single-handedly took the Crown from all three of them. There are pictures of Eddie form this morning that you will all enjoy very much.

Then today we played an awesome bar called Phyllis' Musical Inn. That was a lot of fun even though we played in front of a dozen or so people. We played with another pair of touring acts from New York. Brook and Mike each played some great solo stuff you can check out on www.craftyrecords.net, And thanks to Kenny for the free beers and the Descendents. We found a place to sleep with Ryan's buddy and will be going to rock out in Milwaukee at UWM tomorrow. If we're lucky we might even squeeze a show in for Tuesday, which is another day off, around Chicago or in Wisconsin. Oh, and check out another kick ass review on the very cool British Glitzine.

OCTOBER 15, 2004

: Last night we played in Casper, WY at the wonderful Wonder Bar's Attic club. Not only did we get free food and drinks all night, but there was actually an audience there to enjoy our shows. They let us play two sets. One normal 14 song set and another drunken 5 song set of mayhem including the (almost) all new Evelyne on Speed. Not only that, but they paid us 200 bucks, booked us a huge hotel room with 8 beds and a kitchen, and we finally sold some merch. Thanks so much to Clancy at the Attic for the great night. This morning we drove 650 miles across Nebraska and tonight and tomorrow we will be playing at Mikes Place in Council Bluffs, IA, right outside of Omaha. We are playing with the Flurry and crashing with them too so from the stories we've heard about BSB and the Dollyrots' adventures here, we are sure it will be a lot of fun. ROCK.

OCTOBER 13, 2004

: So we left at 1 AM, too antsy to sleep and drove through the night, stopping in Vegas for a cheap breakfast and unfortunately no gambling (save it for the 29th.) We arrived pretty early in Salt Lake City with little to do except go to the U of tah and hand out fliers to the hottie Mormons. Too bad they were all underage or they might have actually gone to the show. It was a little desolate at Bert's Tiki Lounge which is the most untiki tiki bar we've ever seen, no Mai Tais and near beer (go Jazz). We played after an awful Mexican metal band, but also played to the same awful Mexican metal band. At least we made 32 bucks. Enough for gas to Casper Wyoming.

SEPTEMBER 26, 2004

We are busy getting everything set for the typically named, O.A.O.T’s debut, Typical Tour. Formerly and secretly, "The Bloody Knuckle Tour." Still on the lookout for a non-stationary drummer, we practiced with our new touring drummer, Ryan. Number 4. And we have two shows before we leave for you lucky lucky people. The first is at Mr T's Bowl on Thursday, the 30th, for Eddie's 22nd Birthday. Which is actually on the 28th. So bring a gift, or else you’re not invited. Then the next show is on October 5th at Kiss or Kill with the O.A.O.T’s new favourite band, Underwater City People! Yay. If you like any kind of pixies / gun club / breeders type rock, come see them. You can leave right before we play. Looks like a goodbye is coming soon. Barely soon enough.

SEPTEMBER 17, 2004

We just want to thank all the people who came out to Kiss or Kill last week and made our record release party such a great one. Thanks to all the bands that played (we loved the afros, Midway) and all the bands that came out to see us. We had an excellent time and hope that you did too.

We have gotten great response from everyone who has the record, so why not conform and get one for yourself. Buy it here or on interpunk.com. If you need more reason to, read what sleazegrinder had to say about us. http://www.sleazegrinder.com/review_8-26theoaots.htm

Our debut national tour is nearly completely booked and a list of all the shows will be up soon. We have few shows till then (Oct 5 at KOK) so pay attention and show up or else we will return and be so huge that all our shows will be at the Staples Center with tickets going for 50 bucks. Or not. Regardless, right now, we love all of you.

AUGUST 30, 2004

Last night we were mentioned by Indie 103.1's Mark Sovel on Check One Two. And all we had to do was bribe him with beer and kick ass coozies.

Oh, and an awesome record. But what we think really did it was YOUR requests. They really make a difference. As you know next week is our record release and any airplay we get will be awesome, so call call call call call and request us. You guys are awesome and we love you, except Matt, who apparently hates everything.

AUGUST 26, 2004

Our record release isn’t for another two weeks, but if you just have to have our record, the online store is up and for a buck or two more you can have it delivered right to your door. There are also a few copies at Amoeba on Sunset for only nine bucks so get out there and consume, you damn capitalists.

Also, we forgot to mention in the last update that last weekend we started filming our second video with an O.A.O.T's favorite, Tom Grabon, for track 12 of our record, Dance. In typical O.A.O.T's fashion, there will be hotties showing booty (this time four instead of one) so check back often so you can see them rocking out with us.

And, check out how cool we are at Kiss or Kill's movie page, drunkenly coming off the party bus in Vegas and rocking out in the KOK cable commercial.

AUGUST 24, 2004

We are back and ready to get rich. We had two great shows last weekend at El Cid and the Lava Lounge and although we might have been a bit rusty, we were also drunk so it was a good time for all. Thanks to everyone who came out. We have a few shows coming up before our monumental record release on September 7th. On August 31st, we are back at Kiss or Kill at Zen, with Underwater City People, the Letter Openers, the Knives and Drag. Then on Thursday, September 2nd we will be celebrating our 2nd birthday as the O.A.O.T's at Mr T's Bowl with whoever Mike TV sees fit.

Also check out our dorky ass My Space at http://www.myspace.com/theoaots and listen to the final versions of On & On and Janelle and please please please call (877)4-LA1031, email, or send a messenger pigeon to Indie 103.1 and tell them how much you love us. And that you want to hear us on the radio because everything else sucks.

AUGUST 8, 2004

The O.A.O.T's are on a 3 week vacation in August. Matt is in North Carolina writing half of our second record, Eddie is living with the Amish and camping near some Mormons, and Ken is in Vegas looking for his future stripper wife and/or the next O.A.O.T's model. In the mean time, we are waiting for our debut record to arrive from pressing and are sending advance copies out all over the place. Indie 103.1's Mark Sovel has a copy, so call him up and request Janelle and On and On and listen to Check One Two on Sunday nights.

We don't have any shows again until August 21st at the Lava Lounge with Bobot Adrenaline, Underwater City People, and the Plebz. Go to their websites and listen to their stuff, because they are all great bands. And make sure you're there to welcome us back from vacation. First ten people to buy us beer get a free official O.A.O.T's beer coozie that you can take anywhere so that you can drink in style, and your beer won't get warm.

We also have confirmed dates in Salt Lake City, Omaha, Sioux City, Chicago, Dayton, New York, the University of Indiana and Vegas for October. We will also set up dates in Philadelphia, New Hope, Boulder, and somewhere else in Ohio. We are planning to have 12 shows set up for 14 days and are leaving October 13th. Then in November we are going up the west coast with a new O.A.O.T's favourite, the Knives. ROCK. So much rock, in fact, that I am going to pass out now.

AUGUST 4, 2004

The album is finally finished and will be released September 7th at Kiss or Kill. It's going to be a great night of music with Billion Stars, Get Set Go, Midway, and Bobot Adrenaline. The CD will be for sale at all of our shows and on the website as well. Our tour is coming together and we hit the road October 14th and will be back in LA on the 30th. Indie 103.1 has several tracks from the new record so please request "On and On" and "Janelle."

JULY 13, 2004

As you may already know, the O.A.O.T's have a new drummer and are rocking harder than ever in anticipation that maybe someday something will actually happen to us. For now we have rock shows. Last Saturday we had a great time at the Old Towne Pub with the Rainman Suite and the Underwater City People. These are two great new KOK bands that you have to check out. Check out our images page to see some photos of us at the show and a couple of shots of our new drummer Ken.

Wednesday we are playing the upstairs room at Zen at 11 pm. It’s $5 with a flyer. Then Saturday is our first ever show at the Lava Lounge. Again we play at 11 pm and it's $3 with a flyer. Print the image that pops up in a separate window when you first visit the page or email eddie@theoaots.com and he'll send you one.

In recording news, we are still piddling our pud waiting for this CD to get mastered and get "Radio Ready," so that we can infiltrate the airways and get our tunes stuck in everyone's head. It seems we have piddled almost as much as anyone could and are getting antsy, but it seems that the current proposed date of September 2nd might still be feasible. But most likely we will still be piddling by then.

And some great Kiss or Kill news too. It seems that we are going to be having monthlies at Key Club starting this August 7th if all things go well.

JUNE 18, 2004

Check out the pictures from the Kiss or Kill party bus in Vegas and at the Double Down Saloon. And come see us play at the the Anarchy Library Friday with Bobot Adrenaline. These guys are amazing. We also have a gig at Kiss or Kill this Tuesday with Billion Stars, the Faders, the Letter Openers, and the Drugstore Cowgirls. No bullshit, this is probably the best all around night of rock all week. If these bands don't make you rock out, then you should probably go see a specialist or hit yourself in the head with a hammer and eat all the pieces of flesh that come off your face because on Wednesday we are making our debut at Tempest in Hollywood with the dollyrockinDollyrots. More news on the best record of the year coming soon.

The link for pics is http://www.kissorkillclub.com/pics.htm

JUNE 13, 2004

Added a show. Tempest, June 23 with the Dollyrots (FREE SHOW) [ed.]

JUNE 8 , 2004

We just got back from an amazing show at the the Double Down Saloon in Vegas with Kiss or Kill. The party bus was a drunken voyage through the desert followed by 25 drink tickets per band and some punk rocking good times. As always, everyone loved us and as is our ritual, Matt killed a stripper after Eddie lost $8000.00 playing craps.

Also, the time for the O.A.O.T's magnificent arrival into the mainstream and rise to glorious fame and millions of dollars and free beer everywhere is nigh. We have the rough mix of our entire record and the artwork is almost done. We will be hanging out with our mixer and masterer, Evan Frankfort within a week to get the final touches on this incredible piece of listening bliss. Then we get the airplay, then we get the buzz, then we get to open for the Strokes, then we blow them off the stage, then the world blows us, then we get the money, then we get the women, then we get to sleep in every day and drink Newcastle on tap in our living rooms, then we die.

MAY 31, 2004

Added a few shows. Read the Glorious Noise interview about the Kiss or Kill scene with Matt from BANG sugar BANG and leave a comment when you're done. [ed.]

MAY 17, 2004

We want to thank everyone who came out to our shows this past week. We started off Tuesday with an excellent Kiss or Kill with one of the O.A.O.T's new favorite bands, Bobot Adrenaline. If you haven't seen these guys, do yourself the favor. (And make sure you guys come out to Zen this Tuesday for the Dollyrots record release.)

Then on Thursday we had a very last minute gig at out favorite bar, Mr. T's Bowl. Thanks to everyone who stayed and rocked out. And thanks to the Kris Special for being the only other decent band on the bill. Thanks to that techno duo for taking half an hour to plug in their computers and keyboards and boring us half to death for another forty-five minutes. And a huge thanks to XO for taking their sweet ass time in setting up their extremely complex gear composed of one guitar and drums. The White Stripes would be proud. We ended up playing at 1 am, but unlike other band's shitty fans that sit during sets (what the fuck is that?), our dozen drunken fans really rocked out and although it was late and everyone was tired of the bullshit, we all had a blast. Oh, and thanks to Mike TV for booking us and for being so pretty.

Finally, thanks to everyone who made it out to the Saturday Night edition of Kiss or Kill at the Old Towne Pub. Again, we played really late and we were scared we'd be playing to just the other bands, but by 1:30, after playing 14 songs, the bar was still packed and they all wanted more. So we had a rocking power pop marathon even though Eddie was deathly hung over and had been puking all day.

We don’t have another show scheduled so far until June 5th at the Double Down Saloon in Vegas with Kiss or Kill so till then, enjoy new mp3s *not yet - [ed.]* of our March show at Key Club. And if we come up with another last minute late night show (very likely) you'll be the first to know.

MAY 4 , 2004

We have two great shows this month and a trip to Vegas in June. On May 11 we return to Kiss or Kill and on May 15 we rock the Old Towne Pub with the Dollyrots and BANG sugar BANG.

June 5th we are playing a special show in Vegas wtih BANG sugar BANG, Silver Needle, the Dollyrots, and the Randies, at the Double Down Saloon. We are taking a bus out there Saturday afternoon and we reutrn Sunday afternoon. If you want to come along it's $30 but there are not many seats left so contact us by the end of the week.

APRIL 21, 2004

First of all we’d like to thank everyone who came out to Key Club for making it such a kick ass night. It went so well that they want all of the bands back so keep an eye out for Kiss or Kill Hollywood sometime soon.

APRIL 7, 2004

The new Inaudible video, directed by Tom Grabon, added to the downloads page [ed.]

APRIL 5, 2004

Our almost Kiss or Kill show last Saturday with the Randies and BANG sugar BANG was a great success. Key Club has an awesome stage and incredible sound. And we got a cooler full of beer just for dressing up. We want to thank everyone who came out and even brought their friends! And special thanks to the Punters and the Dollyrots for rocking out with us so hard. Soon this whole city will know the amazing glory that is Kiss or Kill.

We are still in the process of finishing our record now due out by summer, if we're lucky. So while we focus on that you can focus on how much fun you're going to have at Mr T's Bowl on Friday April 23rd. More show details to come.

And we have already seen the new video for Inaudible directed by USC film student Tom Grabon. It will be up in the downloads page soon so come back EVERY DAY...

If you missed it then you missed some great performances but you can still get a copy of the CD, which features the number one hit from our upcoming record "On and On" at www.kissorkillclub.com or from any of the bands featured on the compilation.

Our next show is at the Anarchy Library in Downey Thursday, March 25th but if you can't make it we are playing the Key Club Saturday, April 3rd with BANG sugar BANG and the Randies. The show is all ages and the cover is only $5 so lets pack this place.

The mixing of or record has begun so before you know it you will be enjoying The O.A.O.T's from the comfort of you own living room.

See you at the shows.

MARCH 1 , 2004

Last weekend the O.A.O.T's were busy filming a video for the new record version of Inaudible with USC film student and O.A.O.T'superfan Tom Grabon. It is going to look awesome and should be up within 3 weeks. We have also been hard at work on new material to rock out with at our future shows. The set for the March 10 show at Spaceland will include all of our new songs, so come out and check them out.

We have also gotten news that mixing of Kelly Oh has begun and if major labels stop being dicks and let our mixer/masterer work on a real record (ours) then we will ship it out for the world to enjoy and pay us for the massive amounts of enjoyment they will be recieveing from it.

So check back soon for updated pictures video and audio files. See you at the shows.

FEBRUARY 5, 2004

Thanks to everyone that came out to Kiss or Kill. It was an incredible night of rock and roll. If you haven't made it out to Kiss or Kill yet you have no excuse because we are playing every Tuesday this month. So get out there and see the best bands in L.A. for only $2.

We've added 2 last minute shows for this weekend. First we are playing Saturday night at the posh 705 in Hermosa Beach with Horses Red. Then Sunday we are at the Scene with The Stereo Salesmen and The Kosmonauts. Enjoy.

JANUARY 6, 2004

The O.A.O.T’s had a great Christmas break. In two days we recorded the 13 tracks that are going to become our first, full length, yet to be titled record. We did the drums and bass at Mad Dog Studios in Burbank and then finished up last Sunday with guitars and vocals at Swinghouse in Hollywood. Thanks to Matt (BANG sugar BANG) and Robin (King Cheetah) for all your help and your time. When we become millionaires you guys are getting Porsches. Ha. So all we need to do is mix, master and press and then the party really starts. We hope to have it all done by February. In other news, we are going to be playing like maniacs starting now. That was our new year’s resolution. And to prove it, we have two amazing shows coming up. Sunday, January 11th we are playing our first ever show at Spaceland in Silver Lake with the Waking Hours, the Randies and Oma Yang. It’s free and we go on at 9:00 pm so be there early. Then that Tuesday, the 13th we are playing the new and improved Kiss or Kill at Zen Sushi. It's the first one of the year and we will be sharing the stage with the Randies, Zeitgeist Auto Parts, the Dollyrots, and Silver Needle. And that’s just the start. We will be the resident band at Kiss or Kill in February and promise to play dozens of shows by summer when we will finally have a record to support us on tour. Rock.

DECEMBER 5, 2003

Good news. We lied in our last update. We will be playing a show in December at Good Hurt on Sunday the 14th at 9:00pm. We are playing with the Randies and BANG sugar BANG. Matt from BANG has also confirmed our recording dates at Mad Dog Studios and we will be practicing constantly to perfect everything so this show will be good. Rock on. Go see shows.

DECEMBER 3, 2003

The O.A.O.T's broke in their first show at Canter's Kibitz Room last Friday with a deafening roar of power pop goodness. Thanks to all of you who came out and supported us at this amazing venue. If we get any other shows there, it will be because of all of you who came and rocked out with us. That and because we're the greatest rock band ever. We are going to prove it to you because we have finally secured a date at Mad Dog Studios in Burbank and by the time you're already breaking you New Year’s resolution, we will have recorded the perfect full length album for everyone to enjoy. So, no shows this month, but our rock club / support group, the ever exciting Kiss or Kill has been moved to Zen Sushi and we will be there on January 13th with some other great bands. Now we know we have had altercations with Zen in the past, but it is under new management, prices have been reduced to the $2 entry and $3 drink specials, and last Tuesday rocked. We might possibly even be there weekly in February. So you have things to look forward to. Happy holidays to all of you and we will see you again once we're rock gods.

NOVEMBER 17, 2003

We are under the impression that this Tuesday, November 18th will be the O.A.O.T's last show ever at the Garage! It’s closing very soon. Sad to see it go, happy to move on to the next shithole. Come see us play at 9:00pm. We are the first band so get there early!!! We might even play a new song for you. After that don't miss our debut performance at the Kibitz Room at Canter's on Friday, November 28th at 11:30pm. It is a free show and the Kibitz Room is one of our new favorite bars. Strong drinks and hot women. Plus the biggest ball of matzo in a soup right next door.

We can't ask for anything more. We are still in preproduction with gay Captain Kirk, aka Leather David, aka Mr Bang, aka the other Matt perfecting all of our songs so we can finally start recording this figment of an album, which is still untitled. Suggestions for a title and artwork may be submitted to band@theoaots.com. Check our downloads page to hear our show from October 11th at some shitty sushi bar. It includes all 12 songs that will be appearing on the record in their pre-preproduction form. Also read our bios in the newly constructed bio page.

NOVEMBER 3, 2003

Thanks to everyone who came out to our shows this week. Halloween was great. Eddie was a mullet rocker, Dave had a HAZMAT suit and Matt was the most demonic Jesus anyone's ever seen. He forgot to get the fake blood for stigmata though. That really would have freaked people out. And thanks to all you who saw us at USC's ever dull and alcohol free Ground Zero and at the O.A.O.T's favorite sports bar, the Westchester Bar and Grill.

We have currently been doing a lot of pre-production for our yet untitled upcoming debut. We hope to have it recorded by the end of December and are sure you guys are going to freak out when you hear it. We promise you will. For now you can hear every song that will appear on it by going to one of our upcoming shows. There are five more scheduled for November at Top Fuel, El Cid, Spaceland, the Kibitz Room at Canter's and the Garage, which will be missed as it is going to be turned into a hip hop club this month. We do have a couple of hip hop songs though so maybe we will still be able to play at that shithole. Or not. Whatever.

OCTOBER 17, 2003

The O.A.O.T's perform Evelyne, Zen Sushi 10/11/2003 added to the downloads page [ed.]

OCTOBER 14, 2003

What a weekend it has been for us here at the O.A.O.T’s. We started off last Thursday at the retro arcade game filled Westchester sports bar and grill where we played to and with No Way Jose, Billion Stars, Random Justice and their friends. An awesome night of music. And Eddie managed to break his bass and bass cabinet all in one drunken swing at the end of our set. So you know it was fun. Then Saturday we played at the disgustingly hip and asshole infested Zen sushi in Silverlake. The O.A.O.T’s give this awful excuse for a bar zero stars out of a billion. Not only did we start off the show playing to 5 people including the barkeeper and the sound guy, but we had at least a dozen of our friends downstairs eating bad overpriced sushi with terrible service. They couldn’t go upstairs to watch us play until half way through our set because the waiters couldn’t get their orders right. By our last three songs there was a nice crowd and all in all we had a very fun time. Thanks to the Randies for asking us to play. And a HUGE thanks to Jeremy of New MaximumDonkey for entrusting Eddie with your bass. Sorry we got thrown out and couldn’t see you guys play. Eddie and Matt got kicked out of Zen because apparently it is not OK to walk to the liquor store across the street to buy beer to drink in the parking lot because the bar doesn’t give you drink tickets and charges 4 dollars for a warm Budweiser. So we went to some party and got drunk. Then we got kicked out of there because Eddie got belligerent and almost got his ass kicked. If nothing else we have an awesome live video of Evelyne for you to enjoy which should be up on the downloads page very soon. We will also have the entire show on mp3.

Anyways, we are going to be taking a recording/detox break for two weeks and won’t be playing any more shows until we play dress up at the Halloween Kiss or Kill at the Garage on the 28th! That will be fun. We are now assured we are going either into Swinghouse or Mad Dog studios with BANG sugar BANG's Matt Southwell to make a real record. It will be done before Christmas. So you have things to look forward to. As do we. In the mean time we will be putting up a 2 or 3 song demo of some of the upcoming album’s songs, which we are currently mixing with our buddy Jose of No Way Jose. So, lots of fun. Rock and roll. Time to detox.

OCTOBER 8, 2003

Just a quick thanks to everyone who came out on Tuesday to support Kiss or Kill. There were a lot of great shows that night and there were a number of options for late night entertainment. Thanks to everyone who came out. As always, we had a drunken blast and hope you did too. But don't think that that’s it, bucko, because we are still rocking strong till the weekend. Thursday we will be rocking out by LAX at the Westchester Sports Bar and Grill (+18) at around 10:30 with No Way Jose, Billion Stars and Random Justice. Saturday we will be in Silverlake at the ever trendy and super hip Zen sushi (+21) with our best friends BANG sugar BANG and the Randies, rocking some punk and drinking a lot of $1 sake. Both shows have amazing lineups and are $6 so if you can make it out either night, we promise to entertain. You get in cheaper at Zen with the flyer. And if that's not enough, we will have brand new t-shirts for sale as well as stickers to stick on things for free.

After these shows we will be going into the studio to record our first real record! We finished our 8-track demo of it and are stoked with the results, confident that we are going to blow everyone away. In a good way. Some of the 8-track songs will be on the website really soon, including recordings of Take Me and Janelle.

OCTOBER 2, 2003

We had three amazing shows last week starting with our best Kiss or Kill yet on Tuesday where we played to one of our biggest crowds to date: almost 100 people! Wow. Then Thursday we had a blast with our new best friends the Randies and the always entertaining Midway at the hangover-inducing Scene. A billion thanks to Midway for inviting us to play. You guys rock. Finally on Saturday we played a surprise! show at Eddie's 21st birthday party. That's right, he's finally legal! Thanks to everyone who came out to the shows and to the party. Your support means everything to us.

Also, this week we will be recording the (very rough) demo versions of the songs we will be recording with Señor Matt Southwell at Swinghouse in the upcoming months. As soon as we have them done, we will put them up here for you to download.

Hope to see you all at the garage this Tuesday for Kiss or Kill because even though we won't be playing this week we will be there rocking out to some great bands. Oh yea, and come see our shows too because we are having 4 of them next week and are gonna be sharing the stages with amazing bands like BANG sugar BANG, Billion Stars and the Randies at some awesome venues.

SEPTEMBER 30, 2003

Meet our new drummer Dave!

SEPTEMBER 27, 2003

Site relaunch begins today. Some links may not work for the next few days.

SEPTEMBER 23, 2003

Added 2 recordings to the downloads page. I Don't Know and Janelle (the stripper song) - Live at the Garage 09/09/2003 [ed.]

SEPTEMBER 20, 2003

We at the O.A.O.T's have come to the conclusion that Kiss or Kill is one of the best things to happen to LA rock music in recent history. Where else can an (underage) band member, from a band that isn't playing, rock out belligerently and pass out on stage during 35 minutes of ear piercing rock and roll perfection? Nowhere else we've ever been. So seeing as how we are going to be rocking Kiss or Kill a-plenty next month, we wanted to make a small illustration of the rock and roll mayhem that ensues at said event and invite all of you to check out the site (www.kissorkillclub.com) and the bands and go out to the Garage on Tuesdays regardless of whether or not we are on the bill. Every night of Kiss or Kill has been amazing. And you might even see Eddie puke on someone.

SEPTEMBER 12, 2003

We broke in our first show with Kiss or Kill last Tuesday with a tremendous explosion of power pop goodness. The show went great. Thanks a million to everyone who came out. (thank you list at bottom) You guys made the show so great. That and our greatness of course... You see what happens when people complement us. We turn into arrogant assholes. Not that we weren't already, but everyone's amazing feedback since we have started rocking with the very non-tool punk rocking ex marine Dave Palamaro has started to get to our heads. We are moving very fast and will soon have the final draft of our manifesto detailing how we are going to take over the world... But in the end it is you guys who deserve the credit, because without you at our shows rocking out, we would just be arrogant assholes with no credibility. Or something. So to repay you, we are putting up 4 recordings from the show on our downloads page. New versions of K.O. and Take Me will be up along with our 2 new songs I Don't Know and Janelle (the stripper song). Lyrics to all of our songs will be up soon too. We will send a quick flyer out when these things are up.

Anyways, we are so incredibly psyched to be playing rock music (in case you couldn't tell) because we have an onslaught of post punk power pop perfection in the next few weeks. First, we will be trying to replicate and multiply the intensity of last week's Kiss or Kill at the Garage on Sept 23rd with some amazing bands including Silver Needle and all the way from Brazil, Holly Tree! Then we have been asked to rock out with the Randies and Midway at the Scene in Glendale on Thursday Sept 25th and again with the Randies at Zen Sushi in Silverlake Saturday October 11th. Finally, a real weekend show... and sushi. On October 9th we will be at the historic Westchester Sports Bar and Grill with Billion Stars, No Way Jose, BANG sugar BANG, and Random Justice Quality, quality music. And we might even be doing a residency thing at the Garage in October, but no confirmation there yet.

We are gonna be recording with BANG sugar BANG's Matt Southwell in October and November to have for you a 10 song (hopefully, maybe more) CD by the time 2004 comes around. We will be playing ALL of the possible songs that can end up on the record at every show, so come out, rock out and we will entertain.

So watch out LA because the O.A.O.T's are coming at you head on, and we aren't stopping until one of us dies of a rock and roll overdose. Or any other kind.

SEPTEMBER 2, 2003

Man, what a great time we had at the Alterknit Lounge on Sunday night. Our first show with new drummer and hard core punk rocker Dave Palamaro was a great success. Minus the bruises covering Eddie's legs and arms and the bridge saddle that broke off his bass at the end as he smashed it into his bass cabinet, it all went very well. We are proud to announce that we are now the new favourite band of bassist Dr. Moto of Get Set Go! Wowee! Thanks a lot! And thanks to all of you not just for coming out, but for rocking out like the maniacs you are and to the Letter Openers and Get Set Go for sharing the stage with us and rocking so well.

In recording news, our new 2 song Games/Hot Robot demo, as it has come to be called, is up for listening on our downloads page . Thanks to Ricky Rollins of At One for all his help and for continuing to mix the songs. We are also talking to BANG sugar BANG's super cool Matt Southwell about getting some studio time and cutting a new 7-10 song EP, for all of you who are tired of the 6 digits EP: our silly attempt at an record.

And, we are extremely excited because it is September so it's about that time... It's Kiss or Kill time! That's right, for all 5 Tuesdays this month, BANG sugar BANG and Silver Needle, along with over a dozen other amazing bands, will be putting on the greatest rock shows in the city of Los Angeles at the Garage. We are fortunate enough to be playing two nights, but of course will be there rocking out every night. We play on the 9th with Billion Stars, False Alliance, Silver Needle, and No Way Jose. Then on the 23rd we are playing with Rotten Little Kids, Silver Needle, the Actual and Holly Tree (all the way from Brazil apparently). All of these nights are guaranteed to make you rock like nothing else and all shows are 2 bucks, so come on out, you antisocial cheapskate.

AUGUST 12, 2003

It's been a great couple of weeks for the O.A.O.T's. The 2 new songs are close to being mixed. I know we said this 2 weeks ago, but hey, it was a free recording session so we can't complain. They will be up soon though. And, we have finally found the newest addition to the O.A.O.T's lineup: Dave, formerly of the popular Launchpad band Artichoke, is now our new drummer! Yay! And he will be put to good use seeing as how we have some great shows coming up. August 31st, we will be returning to the Knitting Factory's Alterknit Lounge for our second performance there. We will be rocking out with everybody's favorite Get Set Go, as well as Gun Traffic Radio and the Letter Openers. Then in September we will be at the Garage every other Tuesday rocking some amazing shows with BANG sugar BANG and Silver Needle's Kiss or Kill. The 9th we play with Billion Stars, False Alliance, Silver Needle, and No Way Jose. No way! Then the 23rd we are with Random Justice, Silver Needle, the Actual and Holly Tree. We are very excited about these shows. We are playing with bands we love and the shows are dirt cheap... so go. If you like our music and our shows, we guarantee that you will like at least some, if not all, of these bands that we will be playing with. Kiss or Kill at the Garage is $2 and the Alterknit shouldn't be more than $5. We have actually played and seen shows there for free so you might even be able to use that $5 on beer. For the band.

JULY 30, 2003

Hey punk rockers. Some good news and some bad news. The good news is that we have been reviewed in the popular music magazine The Big Takeover, along with about 3 billion other bands. Fortunately, they had good things to say about our pathetic attempt for a record, the 6 digits EP. Also, last weekend Matt and Eddie spent 12 hours at At One Studios in Westchester recording hot robot and games. The 2 song demo will soon be available at our shows and the new mp3s will be available on the downloads page very soon. All for free of course. For now you can hear live versions of the songs on the site. Thanks to Ricky for all his help recording, mixing and even playing drums for us while our drummer is at Space Camp, training with some other monkeys for a space shuttle launch to the sun. Which brings us to the bad news. The O.A.O.T's will not be playing as the kick-you-in-the-mouth-punk-rocking-trio that you love for at least a month while we search for a drummer who isn't a complete tool. For now we will be trying to hook up some acoustic or almost acoustic shows around LA.

See you at the shows, just not our shows.

JULY 20, 2003

The O.A.O.T's got a great review in ultimate rock zine The Big Takeover. Check it out and download The 6 Digits EP on the downloads page.

The O.A.O.T's
The 6 digits EP
(sounds like vinyl records)
A three-piece power-pop band! Not exactly. The O.A.O.T's blend a number of highly regarded styles and influences to come out with an enthralling EP. 7 catchy upbeat tunes with alternating jangley and distorted guitars. The emphasis here is on the tunes though. At times, one can hear splashes reminiscent of Guided by Voices ("Long Way Down"), Moving Targets ("Inaudible") and the early Replacements ("Yesterday"). Quite a mix. With the right production, these songs would really glisten and burn. Keep it coming!

JULY 15, 2003

A quick thanks to everyone who came out to the Garage last night to see our drunken mess of a show. It has been dubbed our "worst show ever," by rock and roll expert Nancy Jean Keating. We had fun, despite the technical difficulties and Matt's massacre of accelerator, and we hope all of you had fun too. Thanks again to all of you for coming out, especially BANG sugar BANG, ELLiOT HALL, and Random Justice. You guys almost doubled our crowd. Anyways, we will have a chance to make up for Monday's disaster this Thursday the 17th of July at the wonderfully alcohol free Cobalt Cafe in the ever exciting valley. (Not to worry, all you drunks who can't handle sitting through our sets sober, there are two great pubs right next door) This will be our last show of the summer. We play at 10 with everyone's favorite Dollyrots at 8. So show up early. Or at least come at 10. Or don't come. Whatever.

JULY 10, 20003

We almost got to play a surprise! show last Monday night at the Echo. One of the bands, Lizard, either got lost or decided to not play because they never showed up. So after a riveting performance by Circus Minor, Midway rocked a little earlier than expected. We were pleased to see so many people out. Proof that it doesn’t matter if a bar gets shuts down. Bars don’t create communities. It’s the people that make the community. And this community is composed of people that love rock music and people who love jumping around and screaming. And we are going to make this an orgasmic rockfest no matter where or when we have to play. But anyways, we being the aggressive self promoting assholes that we are offered to play that night and Midway even offered to let us use their equipment. That was huge of them. You guys kick ass. However, to our dismay, the hick soundman and the asshole bartender decided they wanted to go home early and not make money off the 40 or so people waiting to see another band. So we went out disappointed and riled up and went out to get sloppy drunk with No Way Jose and Random Justice. All in all a fun time, even though we were shafted by those fascists at the Echo. Not that we will stop frequenting the bar on Mondays (we’ll just stop tipping).

We have two shows set up for next week. Monday night go the Garage and rock out with us at 9:30 before heading over to the Echo. Then again Thursday go to the fantastic and alcohol free Cobalt Café Café at 10:00. Don’t worry there is a cheap bar next door with the best $3 cocktails in the valley.

This will be probably the only time we’ll play until late August, but have confirmed shows with the incredible Kiss or Kill shows Tuesdays at the Garage in September. We are booked to play Sept 9th and the 23rd. We will send more details later.

JUNE 27, 20003

Whenever people ask me what the O.A.O.T's stands for I tell them nothing. I continue by explaining that we are retarded. People tend to give me weird looks because of this. So, the O.A.O.T's are no longer nihilistic assholes who stand for nothing. Instead we are now the One And Only Typical's, but you can still call us the O.A.O.T's. I am sure you are all as ecstatic as we are.

So we played as the One And Only Typical's for the first time on Monday at the Alterknit Theater with the Mormons and the Dollyrots who rocked us harder than we could ever rock ourselves. Thanks to the bands and all of you who came out to see another one of the O.A.O.T's drunken adventures. We don’t have another show scheduled until July 14th at the Garage and July 17th at the Cobalt, so if you need your shitty pop rock fix before then, we now have brand new live mp3s from our last show for you to download. So go to our downloads page and give them a listen. Hopefully we will pull a show out of our asses before then but if we don't and you are just dying to see us, go to the Echo on Monday night. Who knows, maybe they'll let us play at midnight. Again.

JUNE 17, 2003

Just a quick update. The O.A.O.T's will be rocking out at a great show on Monday June 23rd at the Knitting Factory's Alterknit Theater with an AMAZING lineup. The Dollyrots at 9, the Nantucket Suicide at 10, the Mormons at 11 and the O.A.O.T's screaming for the drunks at midnight. Plus this will all be provided to you for FREE thanks to Launchpad and Mike TV so thank him by giving him money and alcohol and maybe a kick in the balls. Maybe.

JUNE 15, 2003

Added two new shows in July.  Download and print the latest flyers [garage flyer - cobalt flyer - knitting factory flyer] for discounts and because Eddie worked so hard on them. [ed.]

JUNE 5, 2003

After a month long hiatus, the O.A.O.T's are back in the practice rooms and ready to rock some shows this summer. We are currently working on about a dozen new songs, most of which we will be playing at the upcoming shows along with all your old favorites. We also inherited a new PA so we will be rocking everywhere from bars to schools to parties to Sunday socials at the church. Look for us in a back yard near you. Our next show is this Monday, June 9th at the Echo in Echo Park at midnight, presented by Launchpad and Mike TV, which seem to have been taking a hiatus themselves due to the unfortunate circumstances surrounding Mr T's. Music starts at around 9. After that we will be at Harmony Sweet in Moorpark on Saturday June 14th at 9. We also have shows lined up for the end of June and July at the Gig, the Garage, the Cobalt and perhaps even a night at the Knitting Factory with Mike TV.

APRIL 19, 20003

In light of the fact that we never did have that spring break California tour we planned and that USC’s Springfest was a giant cocktease (even though we did get a $1000 cash prize for being so damn cool), the O.A.O.T’s headed to Vegas last Saturday the 12th. We rocked out with punk rock band Introspect at the Cooler Lounge just north of downtown. We then partied nicely at such fabulous resorts as the Sahara and the Plaza. Eddie almost got into a fight with a German and Matt accidentally killed a stripper. All in all it was a good weekend. That Monday the 14th we played in Echo Park at the Echo. Arguably one of our least shitty performances to date. Two days later we drove to Santa Barbara and played a surprise! show with heavy metal rockers Amalgum, also known as Marty and the Tacos. Actually it wasn’t a surprise! show, we just forgot to send out an email about it. I’m sure you’re disappointed. You wouldn’t have gone anyways. The opening band was a high school emo band whose name might have been lamb of god. They pulled about 25 high school kids to watch them play. They took 45 minutes to finish their sound check. One of the reasons we didn’t play until 11. So there’s like a dozen underage girls that we think we are going to be playing songs for. But then lamb of god stopped their whining and screeching and ended their set. Then they all left all 25 kids and the band. Leaving the other two band’s dozen or so drunk friends watching us from the dance floor. That just made us play even harder and we rocked the dozen drunks decently. Not a bad little 3 shows in 5 days tour of the southwest. Thanks to everyone who made it out to the shows. All six of you.

We are going to be going on a short hiatus. Until Eddie can get a new bass amp and USC can get its shit together and set us up with that show they promised us. We are also going to be recording some songs. We will be submitting some Superdrag covers to a compilation tribute album that is being put together and hopefully will record 5-7 new (or old) O.A.O.T’s tracks. Also this summer we have made arrangements to make at least one music video with famous NYU filmmaker Ali Mourad. Our live video will also be done very soon and will be available to you by summer. So you won’t have to hear us beg you to come to the shows for at least a few more weeks. It’s not like you care.

Won’t see you at the shows

MARCH 30, 2003

Last Tuesday, March 25th, the O.A.O.T's participated in a rock concert at Mr T's Bowl. We played after two amazing bands, All Your Base Are Belong To Us and the Japanese monster, Electric Eel Shock. Check them out if you haven't. So about 200 people showed up to watch the Japanese import for FREE. There were so many people that the fire marshal paid Mr T a visit and bitched at him for not having the proper permits. They allowed the show to go on, but didn't let any more people in. Until they update their permits, however, there will be no more live music at Mr. T's. Regardless, it was without a doubt a night of rock at its finest. That is until the O.A.O.T's stumbled on stage at 12:30. The fire marshal could rest easy by the time we played because the crowd shriveled to like 40 drunks. Including certain guitarists in our band who couldn't tune their guitars. Still, we had a rockin good time and if you went, I'm sure you might have maybe too.

And great news regarding our upcoming Springfest show! It isn't happening. Lack of organization and funds forced USC to cancel their yearly concert. You can read the article if you even care. But we do get some cash for winning that contest and will be playing somewhere on campus before summer.

Next week we are going to be playing 2 huge shows. Saturday April 12th we are going to be in fabulous Las Vegas, rocking hard at the Cooler Lounge. That Monday the 14th we will be playing at the Echo in Echo Park at 9:00. We expect to draw a lot of people to this show so it will be a lot of fun. Plus it is 18 and up so tell all your friends to go and enjoy a rock show.

MARCH 19, 2003

Thanks to everyone who came to our 2nd 14 Below rock show in Santa Monica last Wednesday. All six of you. We rocked hard regardless and had fun. We played after the Dollyrots, whose hot lead singer and bassist rocked harder than any other hot chick lead singer and bassist I've ever seen. By the way we apologize for accidentally calling them the Dolly Rats in a previous email. It was a typo, we swear.

Remember that we will be playing a free show at Mr T's on March 25th at midnight with a kick ass Japanese rock band. And if you can't make it, it will be webcast at http://mrtsbowl.tripod.com/. Just click the ON AIR button. We have just put up a few new live mp3s on our downloads page. We hope you enjoy them.

USC still hasn't told us who we will be opening for this April's Springfest which is scheduled for April 6th. We will probably open for some shitty band with numbers in their names. Like Blink 182 or Sum 41. 311? Actually, we do have reason to believe one of the bands playing that night is called Room 101. We haven't heard them, so if they suck, don't be pissed at us. Be pissed at USC. Whatever the case, shitty or not, the O.A.O.T's will rock like assholes and everyone will love it.
